This policy explains how we process personal data on www.vertejums.lv (the “Website”) in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) and other applicable law.
2. What data we collect
If you submit a valuation request through the form on the Website, we receive:
- your name;
- your telephone number and email address;
- the property type, the purpose of the valuation and the property’s location;
- optionally, a description of the property.
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information and contact details you provide.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We use this data only to process your request and to contact you, so that we can prepare a quotation and, if you wish, conclude and perform a valuation services contract. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing that contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), as well as our legitimate interest in answering your enquiries. If a contract is concluded, data may also be processed to meet legal obligations (for example, accounting requirements).
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling or automated decision-making.
4. Cookies and analytics
The Website does not use tracking or marketing cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless, does not build visitor profiles and does not collect personal data. Only aggregated statistics are produced, such as page views and load times.
While you complete the request form, its progress may be kept temporarily in your browser’s sessionStorage until you close the tab. This is strictly necessary for the form to work, it is not a cookie, and it is not sent to us unless you submit the form.
5. Hosting and third parties
The Website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As our hosting provider, Cloudflare may briefly process IP addresses and request logs for technical reasons (security and delivery of the site).
The map in the contact section is a plain link to Google Maps. No third-party content loads automatically; Google receives data only if you choose to open the link.
Your request details are disclosed only to the Controller’s employees and valuers who need them to handle your request, and to service providers acting on our instructions. Data is passed to public authorities only where required by law. We do not sell personal data. Where a service provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, this is done under the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.
6. Retention
We keep request data no longer than necessary to handle your enquiry. If no contract is concluded, the data is deleted within a reasonable period after our communication ends. If a contract is concluded, the data is kept for as long as we have a legal obligation to retain it (for example, for accounting or legal proceedings) and is then deleted.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing and, where applicable, to data portability. You can send a request to birojs@vertejums.lv or submit it at the Controller’s address with proof of identity. We will respond within one month.
8. Complaints
If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, www.dvi.gov.lv, pasts@dvi.gov.lv, Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050).
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on the Website.
